Terms of use
Keep results honest, respect other players, and share only information you are allowed to share. Rankerelo is a beta service for friendly competition.
Operator: Adrian-Nesta Nelson. Updated 12 October 2026.
The service and operator
Rankerelo is a free hobby project operated by Adrian-Nesta Nelson. It lets groups record matches and calculate Elo standings. Ratings describe results recorded by the group; they are not an official qualification or a guarantee of ability. Features may change as we improve this experimental service. There are no current paid plans; any future paid service would be explained separately before purchase.
Accounts and younger users
You must be at least 13 to use Rankerelo. Use accurate account information and keep your sign-in secure. Do not use someone else’s account. If you are under 18, ask a parent or carer to help you understand these terms and the privacy notice. Any consent or permission legally required for a younger user must be obtained; simply accepting these terms is not a substitute for it.
Your groups and results
Owners and administrators manage access, player records and the result-approval settings. New boards start private with administrator approval for joining; choosing public visibility makes board information available outside the group. Tell participants what you record and who can see it before adding them, including guest players. Do not add guest players under 13. Use nicknames when possible and do not publish another person’s private information without an appropriate basis. Incorrect approved results can be voided by an authorised administrator where replay data is available; some older or larger histories need support.
Acceptable use
Do not harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against other people; post unlawful, exploitative or sexual content; share private or sensitive information; manipulate results dishonestly; or attempt to bypass security, scrape private information or overload the service. Report harmful content or a privacy concern to support.
Content and moderation
You keep your rights in the content you submit and permit us to store and display it as needed to operate the service under your group’s settings. We may restrict access or remove content to investigate abuse, protect people or comply with law. A user can ask support to review a moderation decision. This licence does not remove anyone’s data protection rights.
Availability and responsibility
We take reasonable care in operating Rankerelo, but a beta may have errors or interruptions. Keep your own copy of important competition records. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. We do not promise uninterrupted service or claim that these terms remove all legal responsibility.
Leaving and changes
You can stop using the service, delete your sign-in account through account-management controls, or contact support for account or data assistance. Deleting an account does not automatically erase every group result; the privacy notice explains retained history and further requests. We may change or discontinue the service, and will explain material changes to these terms on the site, with advance notice where reasonably possible. Any future paid service will need clear pricing and applicable cancellation terms before purchase.
Law and concerns
The law of England and Wales governs these terms, without removing mandatory protections or access to courts available to consumers where they live. Contact the operator to resolve a problem before escalating it.
